AMP Research has developed a simple, functional solution that can make every owner of a Jeep, pickup or SUV with a tall ride profile happy. The simple solution to the door height problem is to install a step or nerf bar. But installing a permanent step detracts from the clearance you want and clutters up the profile design. Unless of course, the step only appears when you are getting in or out and then disappears when the doors are closed. And that is what AMP Research came up with
